The Skillpath creativity seminar Sparking Innovation and Creativity is August 24 in Sacramento. I looked through my emails from SkillPath recently and found I had missed out on a 20% discount by one day! I emailed the company asking when the next such email would come out. The customer service person didn’t know, but could offer me 10% off anytime. The going price is $199; with 10% off the price is about $179. I’m holding out a little longer to see if a 20% email comes.
Meanwhile I checked Expedia.com for lodging near the seminar. Sacramento is about 1.5 hours from where I live. I’m guessing that traffic can be pretty bad in the morning and my class starts at 9:00, so I think it would be less stressful to drive up the night before and stay the night. The search at Expedia turned up a mystery hotel close to the seminar, 3 stars for $46 per night. Similarly to Priceline, I won’t know the name of the hotel until I pay, but I have a feeling that it’s the same place as the seminar. Wouldn’t that be great?
I’m going to wait a bit longer before I reserve the hotel. At the latest, I’ll get the reservation in about a week.
