Centers of Bright Hopes blocks for Africa Hope quilt

Triangle paper by Quiltime, used to make half square triangles for Bright Hopes blocks

Used the triangle paper to create 12 of these (4.5" square)

Drew a diagonal line across the back of the half square triangle (chopstick pointing to the line). Positioned - eyeballed - on an oversized triangle.

Sewed on the line

Pressed open

Trimmed off the extra yellow fabric even with the original half square triangle.

A peek at the fabric that will be trimmed away

Finished unit on the left, piece for the scrap bag on the right

Four units as they will appear in the Hope of Hartford block

I'm glad to get momentum going again on this quilt, after being away on a quilting retreat, and then making Halloween candy bags for my granddaughters. I'm hoping to finish the quilt in the next couple of weeks.
