Thanks, Barb. That dog makes me (and others) smile. Right now he's on display on my cubicle wall and I see him every time I come to my desk. I'll probably have to take him down pretty soon, now that Christmas is over. But till then I'll enjoy him.
DeleteBeautiful planner! I liked your FB page.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hueisei.
DeleteI have just liked you on Facebook. Besides quilting I also play the piano. Growing up we had two big uprights in the living room. My three sisters and I all took lessons and we played a lot of duets, many with eight hands. Looking back I think it was a pretty smart way for our mother to have us learn to work together! Today we all still live in our home towm, are best friends, and get together every Thursday to eat, talk, sew, and knit. I enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeletethanks for Liking my Page, PK. Eight hands on one piano? Or four hands on each? Either way, that must have been something to see and hear. Alas, I'm the only one in my family who plays. I have four siblings and two children. None of them play piano or read music much, for that matter. One sister sings, the other has played guitar. My children both sing really well, play guitar, and perform on stage now and then. Their dad is musical like me, too, so I guess they couldn't help themselves.
DeleteHappy New Year!!! I've liked your page :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sew Simple.
DeleteI have just liked you on Facebook and love your work and the inspiration you provide!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy, for Liking my Page and for the kind words. I have little knowledge of what I'll create this year. I should probably make a list now, then compare at the end of the year to see what surprises appeared. I'm certain there were plenty of unplanned creations during the past 12 months. It's great fun!
DeleteI'm a liker. Happy New Year to you. Thanks for celebrating with a giveaway for us. BTW...I see that you were in San Diego not too long ago. I'm headed there for work this month. Are there any good quilt shops I need to visit while there?
ReplyDeleteHi, Kimberly. Thanks for Liking my Page. While you're in San Diego, be sure to stop at Rosie's Calico Cupboard in El Cajon. It's a big store, and you're sure to find plenty of treasures there. There are probably other quilt stores, but I'm not familiar with them. There was one in Chula Vista that I went to several times over the years but I understand it's closed now.
DeleteFor a visual treat, if you have time, go to Visions Art Quilt Gallery at Liberty Station not far from the airport. I've been there only once, but it's on my list of must-visit places in San Diego now.
Have fun on your off time, and let me know if you come across quilt shops that I need to visit. With my daughter living in San Diego again, I'll be going there once a year or so.
