Echoes - Cathy's Southwest Quilt Top

Friday night I got the quilt top done for Echoes - Cathy's Southwest. I had hoped to get the quilt completely done, but ran out of gas after dinner. I was happy to be able to share the finished top at Saturday's Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild meeting.

I'm planning to get the quilt finished this week.

January Accomplishments - Quilting: Worked on Raiders quilt; bought fabrics for North Wind. Travel: Modesto, CA - Heart of the Valley Quilt and Textile Arts Quilt Show; Sacramento, CA - Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild meeting.

February Accomplisments - Quilting: Finished and delivered Raiders quilt; finished two challenge quilt blocks for quilt guild meeting; borrowed inspiration sweater from Wanda to try to match color. Travel: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild meeting; ate at Johnny Garlic's (restaurant owned by Food Network's Guy Fieri).

March Accomplishments - Quilting: Finished and delivered How Are We Feeling Today?; looked for striped fabric for Wanda's quilt; picked up, bound and returned Liberated Shoo Fly (going to orphanage in Mexico); designed Pipes and Piperoni, bought theme fabric. Travel: Sacramento, CA - Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild Meeting; ate at Tex Wasabi (restaurant owned by Food Network's Guy Fieri; went to Washington state to visit daughter, also visited Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.

April Accomplishments - Quilting: Worked on Pipes and Piperoni; worked on challenge doll quilt; worked on quilt for housekeeper Cristine; plan Kona charm pack challenge quilt; submitted State of the Stash report to Stashbuster Yahoo group. Travel: Sacramento, CA - dinner with sister and friend at Firehouse in Old Sacramento.

May Accomplishments - Quilting: Finished Pipes and Piperoni; finished April Showers (challenge doll quilt); made and delivered two baby blankets; worked on quilt for housekeeper Cristine; worked on Butterflies (Kona charm pack challenge quilt); did an at-home retreat; online applique class at QuiltUniversity.com. Travel: Sacramento, CA - Trip One: Saw Cirque du Soleil's Quidam; dinner at Joe's Crab Shack in Old Sacramento. Trip Two: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild meeting; lunch at The Melting Pot; IKEA West Sacramento.

June Accomplishments - Quilting: Delivered Pipes and Piperoni; finished Butterflies (Kona charm pack challenge quilt); began quilt for housekeeper Cristine (tentatively titled Cristine's Bosties). Travel: Picasso exhibition in San Francisco with friend Lena.

July Accomplishments - Quilting: Created and delivered Cowboys quilt; began Wavy Irish Chain; bought fabric for Wanda's quilt. Travel: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild; Pacifica, CA.

August Accomplishments - Quilting: Worked on Cristine's Bosties; donated approximately one-third of my fabric to Binky Patrol. Travel: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild; attended Sparking Innovation and Creativity seminar in Sacramento; delivered fabric donation to Binky Patrol in Vacaville.

September Accomplishments - Quilting: Created and delivered A Study in Stripes. Travel: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild.

October Plans - Quilting: Finish and deliver Cristine's Bosties; make Habitat Challenge for Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild; make and deliver Frog Quilt; finish Wavy Irish Chain; public display of quilts. Travel: Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild; Pacific International Quilt Festival; Japanese Garden in Fresno, CA.

2010 Monthly Plans and Accomplishments

January Accomplishments - Quilting: Made and completed Sylvia Quilt; began Paris Brown. Travel: Saw Cirque du Soleil in San Francisco.

February Accomplishments - Quilting: Worked on Papillons de Paris (formerly Paris Brown); finished white and pink four-patch for charity; finished Hearts. Travel: Saw Wicked in San Francisco.

March Accomplishments - Quilting: Made and delivered Fonda's Blue and White; made and delivered Hawaiian Coins. Travel: San Francisco - Saw Amish Quilt Exhibition and Joe Cunningham at de Young Museum, and shopped at Britex Fabrics.

April Accomplishments - Quilting: During five-day at-home retreat finished Papillons de Paris, worked from book Quilter's Playtime, created and finished Cinco de Mayo; shopped for Piper's Polka Dots; made State of the Stash Report to Stashbuster; donated approximately 20 pounds of stash to Project Linus; began blue and yellow crumb quilt. Travel: Day trip to Pacifica; saw Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco.

May Accomplishments - Quilting: Finished Blue and Yellow Crumb Quilt; finished Chapel Window; began Sweet and Sour; bought fabric for David's Plaids. Travel - none.

June Accomplishments - Quilting: Finished and delivered Sweet and Sour; created and delivered David's Plaids and Jennifer's Fairies; worked on Piper's Polka Dots; chose fabric for turquoise Quilt of the Month. Travel - none.

July Accomplishments - Quilting: Finished and delivered Turquoise Strippie; worked on Piper's Polka Dots; created and delivered Courthouse Steps; planned July Color of the Month. Travel: Long Beach, CA - overnight; Sacramento, CA - Modern Quilt Guild Meeting; Hayward, CA - Japanese Garden.
