Quilt top - Chris L.
For the last few days I've been working on a quilt for retiring co-worker Chris L. According to her daughter Misti, who happens to be my supervisor, Chris' living room is decorated in burgundy and gold. I made scrappy nine-patch blocks in Stack the Deck style, using a variety of burgundy fabrics, including some from stash. There is a narrow gold border, followed by an outer border in burgundy. I hope I achieved the elegant, regal look I envisioned.
Tonight I finished the quilt top and did a pillowcase finish. Tomorrow night I'll tie knots to finish the quilt.
What are your quilting plans for the week? Please leave a comment. I'd love to hear about them.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen.
DeleteLove the quilt! Quite elegant. Just a bit of sewing left to do, a hankie bonnet and a slip for a christening dress.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy. How did the bonnet and slip turn out?
